Alexis Aguirre is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in business development and alliances management. As a Research Fellow at MACROPRAXIS Research Institute, Alexis focuses on advancing cybersecurity strategies and solutions for the Latin American region. Alexis regularly represents the Institute in public forums, conferences, and media, articulating its mission and stance on various cybersecurity issues. He previously served as the Alliances and Cyber Security Business Director at Unisys, where he managed global alliances and led cybersecurity initiatives across LATAM, contributing to significant growth and innovation.
During his tenure at Unisys, Alexis was instrumental in building and managing strategic partnerships with leading technology providers such as Dell, AWS, and Securonix. He also spearheaded the development of channel businesses in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, and Chile, enhancing Unisys's market presence. Before joining Unisys, Alexis held key roles at BT Global Services, including Head of Security Sales for Latin America, where he achieved remarkable sales growth and developed robust security solutions for major clients.
Alexis holds an MBA in Marketing from the Universidade de São Paulo and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
